This shrub is heat, drought and deer resistant. Triple win there! The blue mist spirea does its best in full sun or partial shade. It's low maintenance in the summer, but will need a little more pruning to keep the blue mist spirea growing strong.
While it has the word grass in it's name, it will stand out above your regular grass! One of the best qualities of the maiden grass is that it is resistant to drought, disease, deer, rabbit and any other pests that might show up In your yards. The one downside is that it can be invasive in some states, but most ornamental varieties shouldn't pose a problem. Maiden grass is cultivated to be sterile when its sold.
